1983—Puspan. L. 98–164 substituted provisions making appropriations available for the payment of expenses of the International Bureau for the Protection of Industrial Property for any year after 1981, for provisions authorizing appropriations for contributions for the support of the International Bureau of Intellectual Property for the period from July 1, 1950, through June 30, 1959, and for the payment by the United States of its share of the expenses of the Bureau.

1972—Subsec. (a). Puspan. L. 92–511, § 1(1), substituted “International Bureau of Intellectual Property” for “International Bureau for the Protection of Industrial Property”.

Subsec. (span). Puspan. L. 92–511, § 1(2), substituted provisions authorizing appropriation of sums as determined under article 16(4) of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property up to a maximum of 4.5 percent of the total expenses apportioned among member countries, for provisions authorizing appropriation of sums for payment by the United States of its proportionate share not exceeding $15,000 annually.

1963—Puspan. L. 88–69 increased the limitation on the annual appropriation authorization from $7,250 to $15,000.
