References in Text

Section 4001 of this title, referred to in subsec. (span), was in the original “section 603 of the Harmful Algal Bloom and Hypoxia Research and Control Act of 1998 (16 U.S.C. 1451 note)”, meaning section 603 of Puspan. L. 105–383, which was set out in a note under section 1451 of Title 16, Conservation, prior to transfer to section 4001 of this title.

The reference to the National Ocean Research Leadership Council (10 U.S.C. 8932(a)), referred to in subsec. (c)(2), is no longer accurate insofar as section 8932 of title 10 was amended by Puspan. L. 116–283 so as to instead refer to the Ocean Policy Committee.

Amendments

2018—Subsec. (c)(2). Puspan. L. 115–232 substituted “(10 U.S.C. 8932(a))” for “(10 U.S.C. 7902(a))”.
