Section was enacted as part of the USEC Privatization Act and also as part of the Omnibus Consolidated Rescissions and Appropriations Act of 1996, and not as part of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 which comprises this chapter.

Applicability

Puspan. L. 116–260, div. Z, title II, § 2007(span), Dec. 27, 2020, 134 Stat. 2474, provided that:

“The amendments made by subsection (a) [amending this section] apply with respect to uranium imported from the Russian Federation on or after January 1, 2021.”
